Mixed Honey - 850 gr

We have been carrying out beekeeping activities as nomads in Kocaeli Kartepe, Tekirdağ Hayrabolu, Kocaeli Kandıra and Kocaeli Başiskele regions since 2003.

"Mixed Honey" is a type of honey that is made by wandering bees in these regions from flower nectar collected by them without any additional intervention, and is very rich in terms of plant essence diversity.

To briefly describe this mixture:

Our bees complete a honey season by traveling around Başiskele-Kartepe-Hayrabolu-Kandıra-Başiskele regions respectively.

Not all of these accommodations are for the purpose of honey harvesting.

They stay in Başiskele and Kandıra regions to prepare for the honey harvest.

Our honey is harvested first as "Chestnut Honey" in Kartepe and then as "Flower Honey" in Hayrabolu.

While harvesting Chestnut Honey, we do not harvest honey in order not to harm the baby honey larvae from the combs, which are "bee baby larvae". Chestnut honey and larvae remain the same in these combs.

Immediately after harvesting chestnut honey, we take our bees to Hayrabolu District of Tekirdağ. In this region, our bees collect flower honey and plant extracts.

During this period, the larvae that we had waited to avoid being damaged during the chestnut honey harvest are now starting to be born, and the bees fill the honeycomb cells emptied by the born bees with flower honey and plant essences.

A honeycomb is formed.

We use these combs to harvest honey by separating the flower and chestnut honey from the honey we milk during the honey harvest (sample mixed honeycomb is added to the images).

In this way, we produce this "Mixed Honey", which is very rich in terms of plant diversity, without any external intervention to the bees and this honey mixture.
